Moth - Colored Backgrounds

The backgrounds for my animated short are finally finished with the great help of Dan Harvey . After some revision and choosing the color pallets carefully, we decided to leave watercolor effects out and focus on a more chalky style.
Here are the results.

Background Test

I am almost finished with my backgrounds. I decided to add a chalky look to them. The character stands out fine. Wondering if i should put an overlay on the character as well, to make his own colors look chalky or watercolory as well.
